FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – One person was killed and another injured following a shooting on Hyman Street in Florence County early Thursday morning.
According to Major Mike Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around midnight, sending two victims to the hospital.
One shooting victim died, confirms Major Nunn. The second person remains in the hospital and is being treated for what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identifies the victim as 34-year-old Jarvis Wright, of Florence.
No suspect information has been released but anyone with information related to the deadly shooting is asked to call the Florence County Sheriff’s Office at 843.665.2121 or submit a tip through the sheriff’s office mobile app.
