FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence man behind bars for dragging a victim behind an empty house and sexually assaulting them has been charged in a second, similar assault that happened last year.
Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department says Ron Jermaine Daniels, 42, of Florence, turned himself into officers Friday, April 6, 2018 and was charged with kidnaping and criminal sexual conduct, first degree.
Investigators say on March 30, 2018, Daniels reportedly pulled a victim behind an empty house in the 100 block of East Pine Street with the intent to sexually assault the victim. Daniels was booked into the Florence County Detention Center Friday at 11:14 a.m.
On Tuesday, Lt. Brandt released the Daniels has been charged with criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping again for a separate assault last year. On April 10, 2017, he reportedly forced a victim behind a vacant home in the 600 block of South Dargan Street and forced the victim to have sex with him, Lt. Brandt said.
Investigators did not release the age or sex of the victims.
