A Florence man faces an attempted murder charge after a stabbing at a convenience store in Florence.

Sevren Dasean Godbolt, 26, of Sopkin Avenue was arrested on Wednesday and charged with attempted murder, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a stabbing report at about 8:04 p.m. on Tuesday at the Raceway at 1801 West Lucas Street.

Upon arrival, deputies found the victim on the ground with multiple lacerations. According to witnesses, the incident occurred at a nearby motel. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment for multiple stab wounds. No information on the condition of the victim is available at this time.

Shortly after the incident, deputies arrested Sevren Dasean Godbolt and charged him with Attempted Murder. Godbolt will be held at the Florence County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
