FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence Police say a Williams Middle school head football coach was arrested last Friday.
Edward Barnard Wilson was charged with petty larceny after he was accused of stealing money that was supposed to go towards a fundraiser for the football team.
According to Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence City Police Department, Wilson collected $400 in fund raiser ticket sales for the Williams Middle School athletic banquet.
Brandt says Wilson used the money personally and never turned the money in to school officials on the due date March 21, 2016.
Wilson was arrested and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond Friday.
