FLORENCE (WBTW) — Florence firefighters responded to a small fire at the La-Z-Boy plant on Douglas Street Wednesday evening.
According to Fire Marshall Ken Carr, firefighters arrived around 8:15 p.m. to find a fire in the electrical room where a transformer was burning. They kept the building cool until the power company came to secure the damaged transformer. T
There were no injuries, and firefighters placed control of the scene in company officials’ hands.
No word on the cause of the fire.
