FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Residents observed a chopper and several deputies canvassing Brittany Drive in Florence Friday.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday, deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a female being dragged behind a building on Brittany Drive.
According to Public Information Officer Major Michael Nunn, on arrival, one deputy says he witnessed what appeared to be a possible sexual assault in progress and two males fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim was transported from the scene by EMS.
Investigators are now questioning a person of interest, Nunn says.
