FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Coroner’s Office says the autopsy of the body discovered on South Jeffords Street on Monday gives evidence the death is a homicide.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken says the body of Marvin Chandler, 47, was sent to the Medical University of South Carolina, where an autopsy performed Wednesday morning revealed Chandler suffered a gunshot wound.
Florence County deputies discovered Chandler’s body at 637 South Jeffords Street, Monday evening. Major Mike Nunn with the sheriff’s office says deputies are searching for Lawrence Sean Denuncio, 31, of Florence, in connection with the killing. Investigators believe Denuncio shot Chandler Monday at the location on South Jeffords Street. Denuncio’s last address is listed as Walnut Street in Florence.
Denuncio is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing roughly 135 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, reports Nunn.
Denuncio should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, advises Nunn. Anyone with information related to Denuncio’s location is asked to contact FCSO Investigators at 843-665-2121, ext. 498 or Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at 1-888-CRIME-SC or text tip number 274637 (CRIMES).
