FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence County Sheriff’s Office employee was terminated and jailed after reportedly having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.
Major Mike Nunn with the sheriff’s office says Jennifer Renee Allen, 33, served as a Fiscal Technician with FCSO when she allegedly engaged in an inappropriate relationship with an inmate in the work release program. Major Nunn says the relationship reportedly occurred after business hours, but Allen was fired from her job.
“Its a privilege to work in law enforcement, whether sworn or civilian,” Chief Glen Kirby stated. “But to maintain the public trust we are held to a high standard of conduct.”
Allen is charged with sexual misconduct with an inmate.
