FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Southside Middle School in Florence District One made the annual list of America’s Healthiest Schools as recognized by The Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
The award is based on the quality of snacks and meals offered, district wellness policies and physical education classes.
“It’s nice to get that award, but bottom line is when the kids, the children, talk about their own personal lives and the changes that they make within themselves,” teacher Michelle Hayes said.
