Florence County EMS Training Officer, Kate Smith, has been recognized for her commitment and dedication to EMS.
She was presented with the 2014 Jack Niles Award for Excellence in EMS Education at the annual EMS Symposium in Myrtle Beach.
She was hired in 2009 and has been the training officer since that time.
Prior to being hired by Florence County EMS, she spent approximately 14 years working for several other EMS agencies in the Pee Dee.
