FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – According to the Florence Civic Center, the I Love the 90’s concert scheduled for Nov. 11 has been canceled.
A statement on the civic center Facebook page says with the community and region still struggling to recover from Hurricane Mathew, the concert promoter has seen lower than expected ticket sales and opted to cancel the event.
Hurricane Matthew not only triggered power outages, flooding, home and road damages, but also caused many unexpected expenses.
“We’ve been at a standstill since the hurricane. Understandably it’s a slow recovery process and the economy is very slowly getting back to normal,” said Kaylen Snapp, Marketing Coordinator.
Ticket refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Automatic refunds will be issued to all customers that purchased via phone or internet from Ticketmaster.
