FLORENCE, S.C. – This afternoon, the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce Executive Board has voted unanimously to support the movement to remove the Confederate Battle Flag from the Statehouse grounds.
This sporadically debated issue has moved to the front of everyone’s minds due to the recent tragic events that happened at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.
The Chamber Executive Board simply feels it is time to move forward. It is time to remove the flag.
