FLORENCE (WBTW) – Owners of the Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum in Florence have posted no trespassing signs after reports of people trespassing for the new PokemonGo game.

The sign says “Private Property.  No Trespassing.  For Pokemon.” in the front entrance of the cemetery on W. Cherokee Road in Florence.

The cemetery is open by appointment only on the weekends open until 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday 3 p.m. on Fridays.

The cemeteries maintenance worker, William Arthur said “they probably wouldn’t mind, don’t all come at one time.  A few come then another few come, I guess they’ll let them go with that but everybody is crowding at one time and I guess that upset the boss.”

Police across the the state are reminding players to pay attention to their surroundings and not trespass on private property.
