MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – On a typical Father’s Day, many dads receive a tie, razor or a home-cooked meal.

But this Father’s Day was anything but typical for Frank Schwelik. He became a first-time father when his son, Frank Schwelik V., was born.

“He was ready to come today,” said Schwelik. “He tried to come yesterday but he came out on Father’s Day and it was the best gift I could have asked for.“

Schwelik and his family were at the Grand Strand Medical Center throughout the night. He admitted he was a little overwhelmed by the big day, but that he’s been waiting on this moment for a long time.
