FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The West Florence Fire Department is on scene of a working fire Monday night.
According to the department’s Facebook page, firefighters were dispatched to 1201 Interstate Boulevard near Mechanicsville Road just after 8 p.m. Officials say they saw smoke and self-dispatched to the scene where they found the working fire at Shepard’s Tow Service.
Extra crews from West Florence Fire Department and the City of Florence Fire Departments also responded. Firefighters were able to control the fire in about 45 minutes, Captain Anthony Fox said.
The fire was caused by an 18-wheeler tractor that had caught on fire while inside the building.
There were no injures reported and fire crews reported moderate damage to the building.
