CLAYTON, NC — A fire broke out Tuesday night at a school in Johnston County.

The fire was reported just before 11 p.m. at Polenta Elementary School, which is near Clayton off Josephine Road, officials on the scene said.

According to the Cleveland Fire Department Chief, a woman driving by spotted the fire, drove to the fire department and reported the fire.

When they arrived at the scene, firefighters discovered flames at a mobile unit at the school.

They contained the flames to that one unit.

Officials say the unit was used for bathrooms.

There are no reports of injuries.

Right now, investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.

Cleveland, Clayton and 50-210 fire departments all responded to the scene.
