BOLIVIA, NC (WBTW) –  Investigators with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office say they have caught a father and a son in connection with several larcenies in the Sunset Harbor area.

The sheriff’s office says items stolen included golf carts, a lawn mower, a utility trailer and several accessories.

Jarrett Lee Griffin, 22, was charged with breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and/or entering, felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretense, two counts of altering a motor vehicle serial number, four counts of felony possession of stolen property, felony conspiracy, first degree trespassing and misdemeanor larceny.  He was arrested Wednesday and is currently being held at the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $70,000 bond.

Joseph Lee Griffin, 66,  was arrested Thursday and charged with altering a motor vehicle serial number, three counts of felony possession of stolen property and felony conspiracy.  He was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Facility and released the same day under a $20,000 bond.

Most of the stolen property, which was valued at over $8,600, has been recovered.
