The Food Check-Out Week celebrates the week that denotes the time when the average American has earned enough disposable income to buy his or her family enough food for the entire year.
The Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee gave back to the community Wednesday donating things like food, toiletries and magazines to the McLeod guest house in Florence.
The organization says the donation is its way to help make the public aware of the importance of agriculture.
This has been a major project for the American Farm Bureau Federation since the 1900’s.
