Horry County Fire Rescue crews extinguished a house fire north of Conway near US 501 on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was first reported just after 12:15 pm Tuesday at a single-family home at 725 Horry Road, which is just north of the US 501 interchange with SC 22, said Lt. Julius Graham with Horry County Fire Rescue.
Initial reports from the scene indicated that the house was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.
The fire was extinguished about an hour after crews arrived, Graham said.
A family lived at the house and they are now displaced because of the blaze, Graham said.
Graham added that no one was injured.
Crews closed Horry Road for a brief time while they fought the fire.
