ROWLAND, NC (WBTW) – A Robeson County shooting has claimed the life of a 28-year-old Fairmont man early Thursday morning.
Major Anthony Thompson with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies began a homicide investigation after Dudley Hunt Jr., 28, of Fairmont, was taken to McLeod Medical Center in Dillon just before 2 a.m., but died at the hospital. The shooting happened on September Drive, just off of South Robeson Road.
A person of interest has been identified in the case, but the sheriff’s office is not releasing that person’s name.
