“Enough is enough,” Georgetown County sheriff says after fatal shooting at area bar

After three deaths in eight months at a Pawleys Island bar, Georgetown County Sheriff Lane Cribb says he is now working to close that bar. 

In a press release, the sheriff says his office will begin the legal steps to close down the Petigru Road nightclub, also known as TC’s Lounge. Three people were shot, two of them killed in a shooting on Friday, March 29. Before that, another man was shot and killed there in July of 2018. 

“This behavior is not representative of the Pawleys Island community,” Sheriff Cribb said. “They deserve better, and I will do everything in my power to make sure this location and every other one like it will cease to exist. We will use any legal authority we deem appropriate to make this happen.”
