SIMPSONVILLE, SC – Police in Simpsonville say a shoplifter slashed an employee at a Walmart store while attempting to leave the store with items.
The Asset Protection Employee was attempting to stop a suspect pushing a shopping cart with items including a weed eater and a chainsaw, according to investigators.
The suspect pulled a knife and cut the employee on the arm and left in a red two-door pickup truck towards Harrison Bridge Road.
The suspect is described as a 6 foot tall black man weighing 165 pounds wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball cap. The truck was driven by another black man weighing 230 pounds wearing a red golf shirt and blue jeans.

Simpsonville Police says the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a knife wound to the arm.
