MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – An employee at Coastline Pet Supply says someone stole a bag containing $700 in cash, according to a Myrtle Beach Police report.
Officers were dispatched to the store, located at 3530 Northgate Road, early Wednesday afternoon.
According to a police report, the employee claimed a man stole the bag of money from behind a store counter while they were dealing with a customer. The employee told responding officers the money was in a “UHAUL” bag they had used to make change for a customer.
The police report says the suspect allegedly left while the employee was still dealing with another customer. Police say the employee noticed the bag was missing shortly after.
The employee described the suspect to police as a white male, standing 5’8″ and weighing 160 pounds with black hair and “scruffy” facial hair. The employee says he was wearing a turquoise shirt and khaki pants at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
