CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities with the Charleston Police Department say an employee at Bishop England High School has been charged with voyeurism.
According to CPD spokesman Charles Francis, the department was contacted by staff at the school in reference to video images of male students changing clothes in a locker room that were discovered on an electronic device.
Detectives from the Special Victims Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force immediately became involved in the investigation.
With the assistance of School staff, Francis said detectives quickly identified the offender and two juvenile male victims in this incident.
Families of the victims were notified about the incident and on-going investigation.
Jeffrey Alan Scofield, 32, of North Charleston, an employee at the school, is charged with two counts of voyeurism.
Scofield is being held at the Berkeley County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing today.
This investigation is ongoing. If any other victims are identified, CPD said their families will be contacted.
