FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Friday afternoon emergency crews were called to an explosion with injuries in Florence.
Captain Anthony Fox with the West Florence Fire Department says Florence County emergency medical services and the West Florence Fire Department were dispatched to Joyce Lane at 3:15 p.m. where they found two people with serious burn injuries from an explosion.
According to Fox, investigators determined the two people were using a torch when their fuel supply exploded.
Both victims were taken to the hospital.
Investigators say there was no damage to the home they were in front of when the explosion took place.
