NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Earth Day Music Fest began 8 years ago with a goal to raise awareness about the environment, how to protect it and how a healthy body and healthy environment go hand in hand. The 9th annual Earth Day Music Fest is going to be a bit different this year. We are working in partnership with The House of Blues for the weekend as well as adding a 5K event to the lineup.
Earth Day Music Fest and 5K will be held on April 23rd, 2016, at Barefoot Resorts and House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC. On Friday, April 22nd, there will be a runner’s expo along with the packet and number pick up for all registered participants. Saturday April 23rd race check in and registration will start at 6:30am in Barefoot Resort and Marina. The race is open to all ages and all abilities. There will be an awards ceremony and all runners will receive a finisher medal.
At this time, The Wellness Council for SC is looking for companies and organizations to sponsor this event. Proceeds from race registration, sponsorship and fundraising will benefit The Wellness Council for SC in our effort to help diabetes management and prevention. Sponsorship dollars help underwrite race expenses and, along with entry fees and donations from race participation, go towards funding diabetes workshops, after school youth programs, summer camps and more.
