MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Chapin Memorial Library and Shoreline Behavioral Health Services will co-host a Prescription “Take Back” Event from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, at Chapin Library, 400 14th Avenue North.

Myrtle Beach Police Department Crime Prevention Officer Stephani James will also be on hand to answer any questions attendees may have. The State of South Carolina has declared a State of Emergency on opioids, and the Take Back event’s goal is to bring even more awareness to the epidemic affecting our community, state and country.

If you are in possession of any unwanted, unused and expired medication, simply bring the items to the event for disposal (no questions asked). Questions? Call 843-918-1275 for information.
