MECHANICSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – After a ground and aerial eradication operation by multiple law enforcement agencies, numerous marijuana plants were discovered in Darlington County, according to Sheriff Wayne Byrd.
Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit along with SLED Aviation Unit and Department of Natural Resources, conducted a state coordinated eradication operation around Darlington County, confirms Sheriff Byrd. Agents discovered 24 marijuana plants with a street value of more than $46,000 in the Mechanicsville area as a result of the operation.
Sheriff Byrd has not announced any arrests associated with the drug discovery.
