EFFINGHAM, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the driver of a vehicle was struck by a bullet near Effingham.
The shooting happened around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a press release from the FCSO. Investigators said the driver was struck by a bullet that was fired into the victim’s car in the 4500 block of Charlie Cade Road.
The victim was able to drive away and contact law enforcement, the release said. The victim was later transported by Florence County EMS to a hospital for treatment of “what is believed to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.”
