Driver nabbed with guns and drugs on his way to BikeFest, deputies say

Deputies arrested a man after he was found with drugs and guns, on his way to Bike Fest on Friday.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 151 in the Hartsville area of Darlington County.

Deputies stopped and searched a vehicle in route to Myrtle Beach for Bike Week, according to Sheriff Wayne Byrd. Officers recovered marijuana, Molly (MDMA), two handguns and a large amount of money from the vehicle

Christopher Jaymes Davis, 28 from Waxhaw, North Carolina was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute MDMA.

Davis had a bond hearing Saturday at 4 p.m.
