KINGSTREE, SC (WBTW) – A single vehicle crash has killed one person in Williamsburg County, reports South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Cpl. Sonny Collins says the driver of a Chevy SUV was killed when the vehicle veered off the roadway while traveling north on US 52, about 1.7 miles south of Kingstree. The driver collided with trees after traveling off the road, adds Cpl. Collins.
The crash was discovered about 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, but Cpl. Collins says the incident likely occurred in the overnight hours from Monday into Tuesday. The driver, whose name has not been released, was not wearing a seat belt, reports Cpl. Collins.
