HEMINGWAY, SC (WBTW) – A man died in a one-car crash in Williamsburg County just outside Hemingway Thursday night.

County Coroner Harrison McKnight identified the man as Thadous Huggins, 56, of Hemmingway. McKnight said Huggins died from trauma suffered during the crash.

According to the highway patrol, the crash happened just before 10 P.M. on Muddy Creek Road.

Corporal Sonny Collins said a Cadillac ran off the road and then overturned. Collins said the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car.

Collins added the driver was the only person in the car.
