FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A man charged in the hit-and-run crash that caused the death of a 4-year-old was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond on Tuesday.
Eric Christopher Snowden was charged with “hit and run, duties of driver involved in accident with death,” and booked into jail around 12:24 p.m. Monday.
The child’s grandmother also has been charged with unlawful neglect.
Priscilla Marie Clendenin, 55, was intoxicated while pushing the child in a stroller on Friday night when a car hit the stroller, according to Collins. Clendenin was booked into the Florence County Detention Center on Sunday and released the same day.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the little child as Emily Grace Hall from Florence.
According to von Lutcken, the child was being pushed in a stroller by her grandmother when she was hit. It happened on Pamplico Highway near Lakeview Drive, von Lutcken said.
The car that hit the child left the scene.
