One person is dead following a two-car collision in Florence County Friday night, according to officials.
Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken says the accident occurred on Francis Marion Road around 9:25 p.m.
According to Lance Corporal Hannah Wimberly with the South Carolina Highway Patrol the accident involved a Ford Explorer and Kia minivan.
Wimberly says the driver of the Ford Explorer, 18-year-old Aaron Jordan, was traveling west on Armfield Road as the minivan was going north on Francis Marion Road.
Troopers say the driver of the Explorer, Jordan, disregarded the stop sign at the intersection.
Von Lutcken identified the victim as Nellie Ashton, 49, of Latta.
Wimberly says a passenger in the Kia as well as the driver and passengers in the Ford Explorer were taken to Mcleod Hospital with unknown injuries.
Troopers charged Jordan with disregarding a stop sign.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
