WILMINGTON, NC (WBTW) – A video of a North Carolina driver plowing through a Donald Trump campaign sign has made its way across the internet, but has resulted in several charges for the driver, according to Wilmington Police.
A release from the Wilmington Police Department says officers charged Julian Thomas Schuessler, 20, of Wilmington, with hit and run, reckless driving, and failing to maintain lane control after Schuessler allegedly crashed into a campaign sign while driving down a Wilmington street, police say.
Police say Schueesler was charged after the video of him reportedly driving reckless and crashing into a campaign sign went viral on Facebook. A post from Schueesler’s Facebook account with the video reads, “I love having a jeep sometimes.”
Schueesler was released on citation.
