Dog found on side of Darlington road wrapped in trashbag

DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two people who reportedly threw a dog wrapped in a trashbag out on the side of the road.

The department posted on its Facebook page that the dog was found after two individuals put the dog into the trashbag and abandoned it near the intersection of High Hill and Green Street Roads. Deputies say the suspects were in a gray mini-van with the driver side rear window busted out and plastic covering it.

Anyone who may have information as to who is responsible for mistreating the dog, or who the dog may belong to, is asked to call the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 398-4501 or (843) 398-4920.
