Do you have this blood type needed by The Red Cross?

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The American Red Cross and News 13 are teaming up for a blood drive Thursday with two drive locations, one in Myrtle Beach as well as Florence.

Donors can visit the Magnolia Mall in Florence or the Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach to give blood. Donors of all blood types – especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative – are needed.

Red Cross volunteers are taking calls to schedule appointments for those wishing to donate blood. If you would like to help and live in the Myrtle Beach area, call 294-8432 and for those in Florence, call 317-1399. Phone lines will be open until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

If you can’t make the blood drive on Thursday, below is a list of other donation locations set up for July 1-15 across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee:

American Red Cross Myrtle Beach Blood Donation Center, The Plaza at Carolina Forest, 3681 Renee Drive, Unit 4 Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 6:30 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
