DILLON, S.C. (WBTW) – The Dillon City Police Department arrested one man and is searching for another in connection to the murder of Brandon Hargrove.

According to Police Chief David Lane, officers are still searching for Tony McCants and arrested Allen McCall.

Investigators found Hargrove’s body last week in the garage of a home on South Fourth Avenue in Dillon.

Police say Hargrove was shot several times.

Today Hargrove’s sister, Rachelle Lighty, told News13 she is appreciative of the progress in the case but feels like more people were involved.

“Whoever you are that did this. And those of you who know who did this. You’ll each get to wake up. And even if you’re loved one gets put away. You can send them the packages for food. You can send them letters. You can send them letters. They can send you pictures. All we have now are our memories. We cannot create anymore with Brandon,” Lighty said.

Lighty adds, “In my family’s heart and mine. We need some closure and this will help with closure. If there is anyone who knows anything. Just let the police know and be your own hero by being truthful.”

“Even when we get justice through the legal system. Know that nothing can replace the emotions my family has had to go through because someone decided to put power into their own hands by pulling that trigger,” Lighty concludes.

If you have any information about Hargrove’s murder or Tony McCants call the Dillon Police at 843-774-0051.
