DILLON, SC (WBTW) – The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Dillon High School student Wednesday after a gun was found in his book bag.
Captain Cliff Arnette with the sheriff’s office says deputies arrested Malik Sen’Cere Rogers, 18, of Dillon, and charged him with simple possession of marijuana and carrying a weapon on school property.
Dillon High School leaders notified the School Resource Officer about a drug-related incident with Rogers and during the investigation a handgun was located in Rogers’ book bag, confirms Arnette. Rogers was arrested and is currently being held at the Dillon County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
