MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit made three drug arrests in Myrtle Beach following two different investigations Tuesday.

According to Dean Bishop with the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit, undercover investigators bought meth from the first two suspects during a three-week investigation. Bishop says investigators arrested Destiney Nora Bergman, 36, and John Samuel Evans, 46, both of Myrtle Beach, around 14th Avenue South. Both are charged with manufacturing or distributing methamphetamine or cocaine.

In a separate investigation, agents arrested Kareem Eljin Hawkins after receiving a tip he was selling drugs from his motel room in Myrtle Beach. Bishop says agents executed two search warrants at the Atlantic Hotel in the 2600 block of South Ocean Boulevard. During the search, agents discovered 69 grams of crystal meth.

Hawkins is charged with trafficking ice or crack third offense.
