UNION, SC (WSPA) – Union deputies say they got a tip on Saturday of a live internet video feed showing a “party” on Pine St. in the Union.
Deputies noticed what appeared to be marijuana and cocaine on a table while several people were rapping, dancing, drinking alcohol and smoking. A search warrant was issued and deputies went to the house.
Several people on the front porch ran into the house and others tried to hide behind the house, where they were detained, according to deputies.
The search warrant was executed and deputies found 211 grams of marijuana, $2,616 in cash, and nine handguns.
The following 20 people were arrested and booked into the Union County Jail. Deputies say each individual received two charges each, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana within ½ mile of a school.
Deputies say additional charges are pending for the firearms seized during the raid. Sheriff Taylor says this is evidence of the continued drug dependency problem within Union County.
