PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) –  The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help identifying a person who allegedly robbed a woman in a Pawleys Island bank parking lot Sunday night.

The report from the sheriffs office says the victim was a Hardees employee dropping off the restaurant’s deposit around 10 p.m. at the dropbox at the South State Bank on Ocean Highway.

The male suspect reportedly came from an unknown direction and pushed her against her car and demanded all of her money before she was able to place the deposit in the bank’s dropbox. The report says the suspect took the bag containing $788 and ran towards a nearby Sonic restaurant. Deputies say the victim was not injured.

A man sitting in the passenger seat of the victim’s car ran after the suspect after the robbery, but tripped and wasnt able to catch the person. A K9 team was called out to the area following the robbery but were not able to locate the suspect either.

The suspect was wearing a dark blue jacket with a hood and wearing women’s stockings over his head.
