Deputies search for man accused of stealing purse, laptop in Murrells Inlet

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WBTW) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help following a burglary Tuesday afternoon.

According to the sheriff’s office spokesperson, Jason Lesley, the burglary occurred on Dolphin Street in the vicinity of South Waccamaw Drive in Murrells Inlet early Tuesday morning.

Images of the suspect and his vehicle were recorded by security cameras at 12:35 a.m. and 5:37 a.m. The suspect stole a laptop computer and a purse, the sheriff’s office reports. Stolen credit cards were used at Walmart and Kroger in Garden City.
