CLIO, SC (WBTW) – In what the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office is calling “Operation Spring Clean,” deputies raided a home in Clio, arresting one woman.
A press release from the sheriff’s office says deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Alexander Street in Clio Thursday. The sheriff’s office has been involved in a lengthy investigation into the distribution of drugs in the Clio community, and Thursday’s arrest “will be the first of many narcotics-related search warrants executed in Marlboro County as a part of Operation Spring Clean,” the release states.
Deputies arrested 29-year-old Crystal Monique Douglas as a result of the search warrant. Douglas is charged with trafficking cocaine base and trafficking cocaine.
Douglas was booked at the Marlboro County Detention Center and is awaiting bond. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the McColl Police Department during the execution of this search warrant.
