LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect after a Rowland man was found shot inside a running car on Woodland Avenue early Friday morning.
An arrest warrant for First Degree Murder has been issued for Quentin Jamale Williams, age 27 of Nevada St., Lumberton, NC for the shooting death of Taurus Locklear.
Major Anthony Thompson with the sheriff’s office says on Friday at 12:51 am. a call was received about a suspicious vehicle being parked behind a home on Tanya Lane in Lumberton, NC. Deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and found a vehicle on Woodland Ave. with the engine running and headlights on.
Upon checking the vehicle, the body of a male was found inside the car with a gunshot wound, confirms Major Thompson. The male has been identified as Taurus Locklear, 29 of Rowland, NC. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with finding Williams. All information will be kept confidential.
