CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Charleston County deputies are investigating after they say 4 people were killed in a Mt. Pleasant home on Atlanta Drive just before 11:30, Saturday afternoon.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lovequawn Matthew Shaire Scott, 22, and charged him with four counts of murder.
When police arrived, they discovered a man and woman’s body in the garage of the home.
Deputies say when they entered the home, they also discovered two more women who were dead inside a bedroom of the home.
Deputies detained Scott was was still at the home when police arrived.
Detectives are working to determine a motive as well as how the victims died. At this time detectives do not believe that a gun was used during the crime.
Detectives and the Charleston County Coroner’s Office are working to learn the identity of the victims and notify family members.
This is an active investigation.
