Deputies encourage vigilance after ‘Florence County’ bomb threat called in

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating after central dispatch picked up a call about a bomb threat to “Florence County” at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies say they’re still working to find the person who called the threat in.

“At this time Investigators have no evidence of a threat to any specific location in Florence County, but major businesses, public offices, government and school facilities and the general public are asked to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity or objects and to immediately report the same to the nearest law enforcement agency or officer,” the press release stated.
