Deputies ask for help finding man who snatched purse while victim was holding grandchild

SUMTER, SC (WBTW) – Sumter County Officials are working to identify a man who snatched a purse from a woman at a convenience store.

Ken Bell with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened at the parking lot of the El Cheapo store located at 949 N. Main Street at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Bell says the victim was holding her 2-year-old- grandchild when she was attacked.
