One elementary school in the Pee Dee took time to celebrate all its cultures.

Delmae Elementary School in Florence held its cultural diversity fair on Tuesday night.

Students and parents enjoyed different activities, including the “Taste of Delmae” to celebrate the school’s diversity.

The event is part of Delmae’s cultural diversity project.

“We want them to be prepared for the real world…and the real world is a melting pot of culture.  so we want our kids to be very experienced in dealing with each other,” mentioned Ginger Baggette, Curriculum Coordinator at the school.

Students from 11 different cultures attend Delmae Elementary.

The school also has the largest population of  ESOL students in Florence School District One.
