FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A few daughters kicked off Mother’s Day weekend by treating mom to a homemade dinner at Girls University on Saturday.

About 7 mother-daughter duos attended
“Mom and Me Cooking Night.” The daughters whipped up a special three-course meal for their moms. He menu included garlic bread, spaghetti carbonara, and salad with strawberry vinaigrette dressing.

The main purpose of the event was bonding with mom but the girls say it was also educational.

“We learned that you have to use pasta water because when you use that, it helps the pasta cook better. It’s really cool,” said Kayla.

The girls each had a special Mother’s Day message for their moms and said they had plenty more surprises planned for mom on Sunday.
